Black vs Negro

How many Blacks live in Africa? Very few and only if they immigrated.

Negro is a race. Negroes in Africa have a tribal or ethnic identity - Kombe, Bujeba, Benga, Zulu. American Indian is a race. Sioux, Cheyenne, Apache are tribal or ethnic identities. Caucasian is a race. Celtic, Frisian, Angle, are tribal or ethnic identities. Not all Caucasians are White Angle-Saxon Protestants. Just ask the Irish. Not all Caucasians are even white-skinned. The story of little black Sambo is a story about a Caucasian boy in India with very black skin.

Not every person of the same race is from the same ethnic group. Not every person of the same ethnic group is from the same social class. Nor is every person of the same country from the same race or ethnic group. Been in Yugoslavia lately? Oh, that's right. They had a Civil War.

So why are Blacks in America so confused? Negroes were kidnapped in Africa by enemy Negro tribes and sold to slave traders. Negro slaves who were strangers to each other from different tribes were forced together outside of their homes in Africa. They may not have spoken the same language. They may not have had the same religion. They may not have had the same customs. But they had to be together yet apart as a group. They had to invent a new language, a new religion, new customs. And they did. They replaced their many old tribal identities with a new one - Black.

Black is an ethnicity, Negro is a race. Slavery, the creation of the Black ethnic group, ended but segregation took its place and the Black ethnic group continued to exist, separately and equally albeit at a lower scale. White society could be divided into upper class, middle class, blue collar and White Trash. Black society could be divided into upper class, middle class, blue collar and Black Trash (Nigger). All Blacks of every financial class lived together in a ghetto. Rich, poor, educated, uneducated lived together. But so did the other ethnic groups. The Polish lived together. The Dutch lived together. The Germans lived together. Ghetto means "a quarter of a City in which members of a minority group live." Every ethnic group is a minority. My high school had Black students but no Lithuanians.

All men were identified by their religion, ethnic group and occupation not race. Women had no independent identity. Women were somebody's wife or mother. Everyone had their place. It was a given. The challenger was to achieve within your place. You can only by creative within rules otherwise it's just anarchy. I never heard anyone referred to as White. I only heard WASP (White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestant) and everybody else. I never heard a despairing word against Blacks only the same derisive tone that I heard when someone was talking about the Dutch.

 Blacks interpose their thoughts onto strangers. If I think that I am a worthless piece of trash you must think that I am a worthless piece of trash. Blacks interpret every day tribulations as a personal attack. That man cut me off because I'm Black, and everyone knows that I am a worthless pieces of trash, instead of thinking - that guy is a jerk. Blacks think like abuse victims. Abuse isn't a sock in the jaw or a Mel Gibson rant, it's deliberate manipulation by creating a false reality at the victim's expense. Abusers will abuse anyone who is vulnerable and available. And racism makes Blacks vulnerable and available. .

Why are Blacks the only ethnic group who doesn't want to live with themselves? it because Black criminals prey on Black victims? Blacks commit more slash and grab crimes; they see it, they want it, they take it and run real fast. When a neighborhood is first integrated it is often by good, law abiding Blacks but it doesn't take long before the Black criminals show up. Why is there so much concern for Black criminals instead of Black victims?

Blacks can't see Polish Catholic, Dutch Reform, German Lutheran. Is it because southern culture is so different than northern culture? When Blacks moved up north the didn't assimilate like other immigrants Why? Is it because they mis-interpreted abuse for racism? Why do Blacks think they are so perfect that their only fault is the color of their skin and not their behavior? Why are they content to sit on their ass and whine that because they don't have any boots, they can't stand up?

Integration changed that. The upper class and middle class Blacks moved out of the ghetto and suddenly the social structure that had existed in Black culture for hundreds of years was broken. Black culture got lost in the shuffle. The lower class, the poor, the old, the uneducated remained in the ghetto. Suddenly Black meant poor, uneducated, unruly.  Any person of the Negro race who sought prosperity was called Uncle Tom. Any person of the Negro race who behaved civilly was accused of following White Man's Law. Suddenly being poor, uneducated and addicted to drugs and only being poor uneducated and addicted to drugs identified you as Black. If you're a Negro and you are educated and prosperous, you are accused of being disloyal to the Black race.

But this narrowing identification of Black culture is a new recent creation formed by integration. Now the confines of the ghetto are mental not just physical. Blacks see Black and White. Whites see Black and many shades of gray. Legal racism has ended. Blacks forced integration into any white group without regard for ethnicity not realizing that any different ethnic group would have been rejected. Blacks don't understand other ethnic groups. They don't even understand their own. . The Polish would reject the Dutch. The Dutch Protestants would reject the Dutch Catholics. The hearing would reject the deaf. Now the old ethnic identities are being rejected by the new generation to be replaced by Classism. Actions no longer determine who you are. Its what someone else thinks of you that identifies who you are. They identify your ethics and morals by how you dress, how old you are, how skinny you are, how big your house is. Blacks successfully fought the old racism but fail to see that it has been supplanted by classism
